Trooper
(Dr) John Sherrer
Dr.
John Sherrer was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and graduated
from Dunbar High School in Dayton in 1949. Enlisting
in the United States Air Force in 1951, Dr. Sherrer served
until 1955 as a Medical Technologist, obtaining the rank of
Staff Sergeant.
Dr.
Sherrer later continued his education at Central State College
in Wilberforce, Ohio where he earned a Bachelors of Science
Degree (Premed) in 1963. Upon graduation from
Central State he attended Howard University's Medical School
and graduated in 1967 with a M.D.
Dr.
Sherrer has a developed a very successful medical practice
in Anniston, Alabama. He has two children, Vickie and
John Jr., and one grand daughter, Janae. His
hobbies include traveling, horticulture, music, history, dancing,
horseback riding and fishing.
