Dallas Miller
Trooper
Dallas Miller was born and raised in Danville, Virginia.
After graduation from George Washington High School,
He enrolled into North Carolina Agriculture & Technical
State University (NCA&T). Trooper Miller graduated
from NCA&T in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree
in Professional Biology.
Upon
graduation, he was Commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant
in the U.S. Army, Medical Service Corps.During Trooper
Miller's career as an Army Officer, he served in many
capacities to include Medical Supply Officer, Medical
Operations Officer, Commander (2), Environmental Scientist,
Public Health Director, and Public Health Advisor. Some
of the places that he was assigned are Fort Sam Houston,
TX, Camp Humphreys, Korea, Birmingham, AL., Fort Bliss,
TX. New Orleans, LA, Fort McPherson, GA., Soto Cono
Air Base, Honduras, U.S. Army Hospital, Berlin, Germany,
and U.S. Southern Command, Panama.
After
retirement from the Military, Trooper Miller worked
for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region
4, as a Congressional Liaison.
He presently works for the Centers for Disease
Control as a Public Health Advisor.
Trooper Miller is a Life Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,
he is a member of Dekalb County Veteran's Task Force
and he is also Commissioner's Lou Walker's appointee
for Dekalb County's Home Land Security Board.
In
addition to his Bachelor's Degree from NCA&T State
University, he earned a Master's of Science in Counseling
from Alabama State University and a Master's of Science
in Public Health from The Tulane University of New
Orleans.
